On Friday, February 25, 2011, Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA), Azerbaijani-American Council (AAC), Assembly of Turkish-American Associations (ATAA), Turkish Student Association at the George Washington University (GWU-TSA) and the American Turkish Association of Washington, DC (ATA-DC) will host a discussion event dedicated to the 19th anniversary of Khojaly Massacre.

Khojaly, once an Azeri-populated town located in the Mountainous Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, was occupied by Armenian forces on  the night of February 25-26, 1992. Its population was subjected to ethnic cleansing and massacre by the occupying forces, killing 613 Azerbaijani civilians, including 106 women and 83 children, according to the Human Rights Watch.
